Aperture: The rounded, partially enclosed negative space in a letterform
such as an n, C, S, and the lower part of an e or the upper story of an a.
Apex: The outer point where two diagonal stems or strokes meet.
Apex points can be either pointed, rounded, flat, or extended.
Ascender: The part of a lowercase letterform that extends above
the body of the letterform, or x-height, as in a b,d,f,h,I and t.
Baseline:
Beak Terminal: A sharp terminal that appears at the
end of the arc of a lowercase f, as well as in a c,j,r, and y.
Bowl: A curved stem or stroke of a letterform that
ncloses a counter, as in a lowercase b,p, or O.
Bracket: A continuous curving join connecting a
serif to a stem or stroke of a letter form, Also called fillet.
Counter: An area fully or partially enclosed by
a bowl or a crossbar of a letterform, as in a b,p,o, or A.
Cross Bar: A horizontal element of a letterform connecting two vertical or diagonal stems or strokes, or crossing a stem or a stroke, as in an A,H,f, or t. Also called bar or cross stroke.
Dot: A punctuation glyph in the form of a typographic dot that either is used at the end of a sentence or caps the strokes of a lowercase i and j.
Hairline: The thinnest of line weights that can be reproduced in printing;
also refers to the thinner, curved strokes usually located on the stress or axis of Modern typefaces.
Letterform:
Overhang: An ascender that extends into the space of a
previous or subsequent letterform as with f,f,F,T, and V.
Overshoot: The rounded or pointed feature of a letterform which extends slightly over a baseline, x-height, or a cap line
to optically align with another letterform that has straight features.
This extension occurs with A,a,C,c,d,e,G,g,m,n,O,o,P,p,Q,q,r,S,s,U,u,V,v,W,w, and V.
Rounded Serif: A serif with a rounded form.
Spine: The diagonal portion or main curved stroke of an S or s.
Spur: A small, pointed projection found at the end of a stem or
stroke of a letterform, sometimes located on the bottom of a b,t, or G.
Stem: The principal vertical or oblique element(s) of a letterform, as in
an A,B,L, or V; except for a curved letterform, where it is called stroke.
Stress: Strong inclined stress reflecting earlier letterforms drawn with a broad-nibbed pen.
Teardrop Terminal: A teardrop-shaped terminal located at a stroke end to a lowercase
letterform such as f,j, and r in some typefaces. Also called lachrymal terminal.

Description: Design a fun promotional advertisement for an online type bureau anatomy of type through a poster.



Sender: The type Company Font Fish



Message: Create a font then advertise it. For example: “Use our font! Because they are classic and have amazing quality.



Audience: Clients and people who wants a new font.



Objective: Create a promotional poster that expresses a font that has quality and is classic.



Response: To understand font purchases and is liked enough to be shared.



Specifications: 11x17, border of ½ inch, printed, name and description



Budget/Schedule: Budget of $900 with varied hours as an investment. Expected due date is January 29, 2019.
